After combing the Coastside for months, poring over a raft of resumes, and subjecting candidates to grueling auditions, Blue Blanket Improv (BBI) is proud to announce that we have selected Audrey Nassar for the 2009 Blue Blanket Improv Performing Arts Scholarship Program.

As part of the program, Audrey will get to practice and perform with the troupe and will receive a $500 scholarship from BBI upon completion of her three-month internship.

BBI is thrilled to welcome Audrey into the troupe. Her creative energy and prior improv experience, coupled with a strong dance background and willingness to be silly will make her right at home with BBI's coterie of characters. She's going to have to work hard to match the meaty goodness of 2008 BBI scholarship winner "Jumpin'" Jarred Gibbs, but we know she's up to the task.

An extension of BBI's mission to support performing arts on the Coastside, the BBI scholarship program is designed to assist exceptional Coastside young people who are interested in the performing arts by providing real-world performance experience, improvisational comedy skills training, and a cash scholarship.
